The Elixa 21 is the optimal machine for packaging fresh products on trays in stretch wrap at supermarkets and butchers. This packaging machine has a speed of 21 packaging units per minute. An advantage of this machine is its compact format. The packaged product is ejected from the front of the Elixa XP, so that the machine can be fully operated from the front.
The use of film that is only 280 mm wide, rather than the standard widths of 330, 380 or 400 mm, leads to an enormous saving on film. As a result, the packaging costs are substantially lower than for conventional packaging machines.
Unlike conventional machines, the Elixa 21 does not use a pre-set programme. Photocells are used, so that each product is closely monitored on input. Without delaying the packaging process, every product is packaged in the correct manner.
The Elixa 21 can be integrated with various scales and weighing/labelling systems. The Elixa 21 can be fitted with an optional cradle for a tracking belt.
